Unplanned visit

Brian arrived home to find the house eerily empty, his mother's absence striking him as unusual. "Mum?" he called out, searching each room in growing concern. "Brian, you're back. I'm in the kitchen," his mother's voice floated to him from the other room. Curious, Brian made his way to the kitchen, where his mother was busy preparing dinner. "What are you cooking?" he asked, eager to discover the evening's meal. "It's a special dish for dinner. You'll find out when we eat," she replied mysteriously. As they tidied up the house together, his mother's gaze fell upon a wound on Brian's arm. "What happened to you?" she asked, her concern evident as she approached him. Brian hesitated, knowing he couldn't deceive his mother. "I was working in the woods today when I saw a girl being attacked by some guys, so I helped her," he admitted reluctantly. His mother's expression darkened with worry. "I've told you several times to stop intervening in people's business. Can't you walk away and report it to the guards?" she scolded gently. "But, Mother, if I had walked away, they might have killed her," Brian argued, his voice pleading. "Sit, let me treat you. And please, stop intervening in people's business," his mother sighed, concern etched in her features as she tended to his wound. Their moment was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching the house. His mother tensed, moving to investigate. "Why is Bryan coming home with so many guards?" she wondered aloud, peering through the door. Brian joined her, his heart sinking as he saw his brother, Bryan, accompanied by the two intruders, approaching their home. "What is Bryan doing with those intruders?" Brian exclaimed, his confusion mounting as he watched the scene unfold. His mother's sharp gaze fell upon the werewolves accompanying Bryan, her expression turning grave. "You have to leave now and find somewhere to hide," she urged, her voice urgent. "Why?" Brian questioned, bewildered by the sudden urgency. "We'll talk about it later. Just go. Find Giovanni's house," his mother instructed, her tone leaving no room for argument. "Giovanni? The old wizard?" Brian questioned incredulously. "Yes, just go now," his mother insisted, urgency coloring her voice. With a sense of foreboding, Brian hurriedly slipped out the back door, the weight of uncertainty heavy on his shoulders. As soon as Brian left, Bryan and his guards, along with the intruder werewolf, knocked on the door, and his mother greeted them warmly as she opened it. "Mother," Bryan said, enveloping her in a hug as he entered the house, followed by his companions. "How are you doing, son?" his mother asked, her voice filled with concern and affection as she welcomed them inside. "Bryan, why are you here today, and why are you with so many guards? Is everything alright?" his mother inquired, a hint of worry in her tone. "Everything is fine, Mother. I was just passing by and wanted to say hello to you," Bryan reassured her, taking a seat. "Let me get you a cup of water," his mother offered, bustling off to fetch refreshments for their guests. As Bryan glanced around for his brother, he couldn't spot him. "Where is Brian?" he asked, growing concerned. "He's not home yet. He hasn't been back since morning," his mother informed him. "And where do you think he might be? I've checked the farm, but I couldn't find him," Bryan pressed, his worry deepening. "I don't know. I hope there's no problem," his mother replied, her brow furrowing in concern. Unbeknownst to her, the intruder with Bryan sensed Brian's presence in the house, realizing that his mother had lied about his absence. "Can I speak with you for a moment, Bryan?" his mother asked, pulling him aside. Curiosity piqued, she questioned him about the identity of his companions and the urgency in searching for his brother. "It's nothing, Mother. They're just friends," Bryan reassured her, evading her questions. "But as soon as Brian returns, inform me or send him over. I have something important to discuss with him," he added. "Alright, son," his mother acquiesced, her expression troubled as she bid him farewell. Bryan hugged his mother tightly before departing with his guards and the intruder, casting a final glance around the house. The intruder lingered for a moment, scanning the surroundings before following Bryan out of the door. As Bryan and his guards tirelessly searched the village for Mia, their efforts proved fruitless. Bryan's worry for his brother weighed heavily on his mind, fearing the worst. "I wonder where Brian could be with that vampire girl. I hope she hasn't harmed him," Christopher voiced his concerns to Bryan, the anxiety evident in his tone. As the night wore on and the day threatened to break, Bryan realized the futility of their search. "I think we've done all we can. It's getting late, and my men are exhausted," he admitted, noticing the weariness etched on their faces. Despite their fatigue, the werewolves continued their relentless pursuit. "We'll keep searching. You go and rest. My man can handle it," the intruder offered. Reluctantly, Bryan agreed, knowing that his men needed rest. "Okay," he conceded. Before leaving, he turned back to the intruder. "If you find her or my brother, report everything to me, understood?" he instructed firmly. The intruder nodded in acknowledgment. "No problem. We'll keep you informed," he assured Bryan as they parted ways, each group continuing their search with determination and resolve. As the moon cast its ethereal glow upon the woods, Mia clutched her south-pointer tightly, using it to navigate through the darkness in search of Giovanni's house. Guided by the mystical device, she found herself standing before a rustic wooden abode nestled in the heart of the forest. Pushing open the creaking door, Mia stepped into the tranquil surroundings of the compound, where she spotted an elderly man diligently chopping cooking wood. "Hello, Giovanni Vincent," Mia greeted warmly as she approached him. The old man paused his task, turning to face her with a curious expression. "And who is it that you seek?" he inquired. "I am looking for Giovanni Vincent, which is you," Mia replied confidently, a hint of amusement in her voice. The old man's lips curved into a wry smile. "And what if you have made a mistake?" he teased. "My divine compass never makes mistakes," Mia asserted with a smile, holding up the south-pointer as evidence of her unwavering certainty. Giovanni's smile widened as he realized Mia's identity. Embracing her warmly, he welcomed her into his humble abode. As they settled in to converse, their peaceful moment was interrupted by a faint sound emanating from outside, stirring a sense of unease in the air.
