Ella, who was in the kitchen, was so busy that sweat was beginning to form on her forehead. When she found out that Iliana was back, she went out to greet her too. "Mrs. Austin, you're back. I've cooked a few dishes today. I don't know if you'd like them."
With a face full of disdain, Iliana said, "For goodness sake, Ella. I don't mean to blame you, but why are you making all these foul-smelling things for us! What are you trying to achieve? Can you take full responsibility for it if we all end up with upset stomachs?"
Iliana was annoyed that Ella had made the house smell bad, whereas Ella had kindly cooked a meal for everyone, exhausting herself only to be berated for her efforts.
