Christian P.O.V
I woke up quite early things morning, seeing my mate laying next to me felt great, but I knew I had to find out more about her past and the events that took place at the ceremony. I crept out of bed, looking back on Alina to ensure I didn’t wake her up and head to my office. I mind-link to meet with one of the elders later to go through some of the history based around her previous pack. I knew from what I’d heard they were a strong pack, but no one said anything about supernatural powers? I sat at my desk twiddling my thumbs trying to figure out how that happened, and to say I was confused was an understatement.
*Knock *Knock *knock
“Come in”
I looked up at the door to see Elder Rodrick enter the room fiddling nervously with some documents in his hands
“Good morning Elder Rodrick” I keep my voice stern and steady as he walks towards me. I motion him to take a seat opposite my desk and his sits on the edge of his seat
“Alpha” he bows his head at me with respect. “I have done as you asked, and I’ve found some information regarding your mates original pack” he speaks with a shaky voice, at the sight of him I start to get a bit nervous myself. What has this man discovered?
“Thank you Elder, may I ask what is making you so nervous?”
“Alpha, the Crimson Moon Pack is, or was, one of the most powerful packs as I’m sure you’re aware of” I nod acknowledging his words “it seems that it wasn’t the Alpha that was the one feared by those who stepped onto the pack grounds though. Please take a look at these papers” he hands me the papers with a shaky hand, as I start skimming through them, my eyes widen by what I’m reading.
“It seems the Luna of that pack was the one that was feared. She was the last known one of her kind, and she was a force to be reckoned with. I’m sure you’ve heard of her kind before, they are known to be of ancient blood. Blood Bearers.” I looked at him confused, then I remember my father speaking of them. I mind-link him to come to my office. After a few minutes there’s a knock at my door and my father walks in.
“Father, I apologise for calling you at such short notice, but I must ask you a question”
“What is it son?” My father asks in a serious tone
“Do you remember telling me about the ancient beings call Blood Bearers?” He looked at me in concern.
“Yes, but why are you bringing this up know?” Elder Rodrick speaks up and explains the situation to my father, who’s eyes go wider than mine. “Hmmm, I see, this may be a problem” he says as he places his hand on his chin. “And you’re sure she has the blood flowing through her veins Elder?” My father asks with even more concern in his voice
“Yes Leon, from what Alpha Christian has told me, I believe she may be the last of her kind. Please take a look at this diagram I found based on Blood Bearers” he passes me a diagram to look at and I gasp in shock. “Elder, w-what are they?” I stutter to him
“From what I’ve researched they’re called vectors. Invisible arms the come out of a blood bearers back. They are extremely powerful, and they grow more strong as the person who has the blood in them grows older and more angry, even vampires don’t mess with these beings”
I thought back to the night of the ceremony, what happened then wasn’t a misunderstanding, but by the sounds of how frightened Alina was, I’m guessing she doesn’t know. I stand up and look towards the Elder, worry across my features. “Elder, how do I explain this to Alina. She didn’t know what had happened that night, she was just as scared as everyone else?”
“How old is Luna Alina alpha, if she is still young we can help ensure she has these under control” elder confirms to me “17” I answer back quickly, hoping we can help her.
“Hmmm, yes, we should be able to help her control these, for now, we miss ensure she doesn’t get angry towards any pack members, so be sure you keep them jealous she-wolves in check Alpha. For now I will keep researching more about these Blood Bearers, once I have the information needed, I will inform you straight away” elder Rodrick bowed his head before leaving the office, leaving me and my father stood in shock.
“If she really is the daughter of Alpha Derek and Luna Rosemary, then we must keep an eye on her at all times. Where is she now?”
“She’s asleep for now, but for now we should get some breakfast in us. We’ll talk more once we have the information needed.” With that me and my father head to the kitchen. I grab a tray and load it with enough food for me and Alina and head up to my room. As I enter I notice the bed is empty, I start to worry hoping she hasn’t left the room, when I sense her behind me, I relaxed almost instantly
“I brought up some breakfast” I say smiling at her. For now I won’t say anything, I’ll just be sure no one angers her.
