"You're too slow and to sluggish, you do everything like you need to be pushed or forced to. Do you really want to continue this job? Because it seems to me like you don't like this job anymore and there are better more competent people out there that can do a better job than you" Tyron said in annoyance. "I want this report completed by the end of the day." He continued as he slammed the poor excuse of a report on the desk and glared at the man who kept standing there like an i***t. It had been only a month since he had joined, and Tyron’s patience was running thin. "Do you understand?" The man flinched at Tryon's hard tone. "Yes, sir I do" He replied almost trembling as Tyron sat on the top of his desk placing his hands on his forehead letting out a sigh of annoyances. He was a perfectionist and wanted everything done to be done in perfection. One thing he hated the most was when someone needed to do something and does it and the does it as tho they were being forced to. He believed that everything if done perfectly cannot be altered and that was the motive and drive he used in running his company. As he travialed in his thought, the door to his office opened, and his dad walked in together with their lawyer. Going by his dad's expression, it was something concerning. He shifted his gaze back to his personal assistant still standing in front of him. "Leave!" The assistant quickly grabbed hold of the file and scurried out of the cabin. "Dad?" Both his dad and Mr. Dennis took the seats opposite him. "Tyron, Mr. Dennice is here to show you your grandfather's will." It was the least that Tyron was expecting. His Granddad passed away about a month ago, and his will hadn't been brought up since then. Tyron leaned back in his seat and loosened the tie around his neck. "I am busy right now, Dad. Can't it wait?" Tyron sighed before glancing at Mr. Dennis , who had quite a serious expression. "I am afraid not." His right eye twitched as he mentally clawed at all the possible conditions the will might put forth. He nodded and looked at Mr. Davis to proceed. "Mr. Harrington, your grandfather mentioned in his will that you get to inherit sterling enterprise provided you settle down." Mr. Dennis stopped for a quick second to judge Tyron's reaction before continuing. "You are required to get married." Tyron stared in amusement back at the expectant faces of the men seated in front of him and then let out a loud and seemingly mocking laughter although he fully knew how serious they were. "Is this a joke or something?". He asked with a noe straightened face. "Look I'm not in the mood for some jokes right now!" He continued, picking some files at his table. "It had better be though "He looked between both of them, who maintained their serious stances. His Granddad had alway advised him on how he should settle down, start a family, and to think that he actually put this condition in his will was way too absurd. His dad exhaled breaking the few seconds silence that had fallen."He isn't joking Tyron. Your grandfather wrote in his will that he wishes to see you settle down with a decent girl of your choice and provide a family to Aby most importantly. She need it" Clearly, Tyron still hadn't fully processed the information nor grasped the seriousness of the situation. He was still searching for words when Mr. Davis spoke further. "If not fulfilled like your grandfather had ordered, after your father, it goes to the Herters ." Tyrons head shot up in a microsecond immediately he heard the name, almost giving him whiplash. "Herters? Our rival?" He asked in totally disbelieve. Their lawyer warily nodded before He slammed a fist on the table, making him flinch in his place. He was out of his seat and walking towards the window, absolutely clueless as to who in their right mind would do that. "Was he in need of some kind of medical help and we had overlooked it?" He asked still in shock. "Tyron!" His dad sounded offended. "That would explain this will because this is clearly the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life." While his Dad looked exhausted, Dennis looked scared. Tyron wondered who he was scared of because according to him, the only scary thing there was that will. "Grandad actually wrote this?" He asked again hoping that he would be offered a totally different answer, something like they had planned some April Fool's prank though it was mid-September? Probably." "He did." Mr. Dennis awkwardly shifted in his seat, and the urge to toss him out of his office was already too strong. "I don't get it, Dad. Why do I have to marry? Aby has a family. She has me, she has you and mary. This is her family." Tyron reasoned, but the shake of his dad's head told him that he was anything but convinced. "The little girl needs a mother in her life." His dad disagreed very calmy almost as if to convince him. Tyron shut his eyes for a brief second in annoyance. This single statement had always felt like a blow to all the efforts he had put in for Aby over the years. "She doesn't! I am the only parent she needs in her life." Even as he said it, his confidence faltered a bit. He had gone out of the way to be the best parent to Aby, yet it didn't feel real at that moment to him. It felt as if he was desperately trying to convince himself. His dad slightly tilted his head to the side while staring straight at Tyron. "You know it yourself." He sounded confident, like he had heard Tyron's earlier thoughts. "I am serious, Son. I know how much you have tried to always be there for Aby, but like every other child, she needs a mother. That's a void in her life that you can never fill no matter how hard you try. I can see it, most probably your Grandfather did too." Tyron pressed his fingers against his forehead and leaned back in his seat. Even if his Dad was right, he wasn't prepared for a wife. He hadn't given relationships and dating a single thought after Aby's mother passed away. And here they were talking about marriage. "I need time to think about it." He said in disbelief. "And a whole lot of it " he added As he raised his head, they were still sitting in front of him with grim expressions, as if there was something else he was yet to learn about. The thought alone was dreadful. Mr. Dennis drummed his fingers on the desk before speaking. "You have one year before you settle down." He continued almost in fear andbin anticipation of Tyron's reply. Tyron could feel an approaching headache, and undoubtedly it was going to stay for a while now. "There's a deadline too?." His voice came out icy as if he was ready to let down a tear. His dad hesitantly nodded, and Tyron honestly wanted to bang his head against the wall but settled for a humorless chuckle. He was anything but amused. At this point, he was more amused than surprise. He knew his grandfather was a whole lot but he never imagined that he could actually do this to him. To him, he niw felt that his grandfather really didn't want to hand over the company to him and concluded that his true intentions was to give it to the Herters his father's step brother that he soo much despised. He felt betrayed cause all h8s lige it was as if he lived to please his grandfather who according to him never approved of him. "What next? Does he need me to impregnate the wife before marrying her? Or does he need me to marry different women from different continents around the world?Would he like that?" The thought of getting married seem totally off to Tyron cause he totally didn't believe love anymore. And getting married in a year time? Totally oblivious. One might consider it aggressive sarcasm, but honestly, Tryon was skeptical. At this point, he wasn't putting anything past his grandfather to put it in his will. "No such thing mentioned," Mr. Dennis shrank a little under His glare, while his dad cast a worried glance at him, probably thinking that he was losing it. And frankly speaking he wasn't too far from it either. "I'll leave you to it." Both of them were on their feet and in the next moment out of his office, leaving him in total disbelief
