Chapter 33: Alec POV "Oh my gosh! A girl?!" We both smiled as my father responded positively to the news. I texted a picture of the ultrasound to his phone while we spoke to him on speakerphone. "That means I have a granddaughter!" Those were my father's last words on the phone before silence cut through and dread hit me like a punch to the gut. Lily and I had been so excited to tell the news of our daughter to my father that at first we weren't sure what was happening when the line went quiet. Then all we heard was the phone hitting the ground and a gurgling noise. "Go to him," Lily urged. I hesitated to leave her for even a moment. Her pregnant stomach was starting to show and I was growing more protective by the hour. "Go to him now," she commanded, her wolf's eyes showing through
