The weight of his words hung in the air, hinting at the complexities that awaited me as the future queen. The elders exchanged glances, and I could sense a shift in the currents of courtly politics, each movement a ripple in the intricate dance of power within the kingdom.   Vidar materialized beside me, a regal presence that demanded attention. "It has always been inevitable," he declared, his voice carrying the weight of authority.   The elder, now visibly diminished, swiftly acquiesced, "Of course, Your Majesty. My apologies for any misunderstanding.
