Brent's POV. I slammed the door shut behind me. The wood rattled against its frame, vibrating along the hinges with enough force to shake the nearby wall. I stalked across the room toward the bar. My hand reached for a bottle of bourbon and a crystal tumbler. I filled the glass quickly and poured the liquor straight down my throat. A sharp burn traveled through my chest. I filled the glass again, only halfway this time. I drained it as well, trying to drown every ounce of pain and anger moving through me. “f**k you, Orleana.” The words slipped from my lips before the bourbon even reached its destination.
