The Cheese City warrior lunged forward with a straight punch, but Jack leaned out of the way with a swift side-step. That punch swiped after him, threatening to back-hand with the shield, which he avoided by leaning under. The other hand came after him as she turned, again aiming for his face, so Jack stepped back while bringing his sword to block. He succeeded, and thankfully, the blow wasn’t as powerful as he expected. It didn’t even manage to shove him off his footing.
Taking excited breaths, Amadee closed in with a kick aimed at Jack’s chest. Jack dodged to the side, and while he had an opening to attack, he did not, so she was able to land and turn after him.
