Candy city was much bigger than Jack expected. The buildings were square-shaped, but then the roofs were balloon-shaped, their base as wide as the building while their tops thinned into nothing, and their middle was a round sphere that was wider than its base. Hence, the buildings looked like they had balloons for hats, and most people did have hats that were a bit like that, some rounder, others narrower, but in general looking like an extension of their heads. Lateef called them turbans.   Jack himself was wearing a modest version of one, over a new sleeveless vest that he was keeping open. However, after all the sun burning, he was happy to be enveloped in one of Lateef’s cloaks. It was a bit too big on him, but it wasn’t much of a problem since it just dragged on the sand a bit. “O
