Alera’s POV I hugged my pillow tighter, pressing my face into the softness as if it could shield me from everything. The silence of my room felt suffocating, yet at the same time, I wished it could last forever. I was so tired. Tired of waking up to the same uncertainties, tired of trying to make sense of things that refused to be understood, and most of all—tired of feeling like I was losing myself.
