Kael’s POV The journey to the Ashfang Clans had been long, but necessary. The southern lands lay in quiet submission under Zack’s rule, while the eastern lands belonged to the Bloodstone Clans and the western parts to Ironclaw. The Northern lands were my own, and by right, I governed them all. Yet, what kind of ruler lets his people suffer while he sits on his throne, blind to their struggles? I had left my people in the hands of those who were supposed to protect them, but whispers of suffering had reached my ears. The lands that were once thriving under the balance we worked hard to uphold were now drowning in despair. Their silent cries for salvation echoed through the air as I moved through their midst.
