“Look, I get it, you’re mad. But you’re overreacting, you don’t have to do this!” I say as I stomp into my bedroom. Logan and Harlan follow right behind me, closing the door shut.
“We don’t have to, but we want to,” Harlan says.
“But that’s not part of the plan!” I argue. “We never talked about a marriage proposal whatsoever!”
“But you also said that we’re gonna announce things to people before the end of the year. Christmas is the perfect time,” Logan argues back.
“Announcing a relationship and getting engaged are two totally different things!” I state the obvious.
“Sure, but that doesn’t have to change anything,” Harlan interjects. “We don’t need to get married right away. You can still do college and everything can stay exactly the same,”
