Grace pov

“Baby, are you ready? You have to take me to the hospital” I say to Steven through the bathroom door. My car is at the mechanic so I slept with Steven so he can take me to work this morning. He opens the door and he smiles.

“I’m ready. Sorry”

“Come on. You will be late too” I say and he laughs

“OK ok. We will take coffee from Sally’s” he says and he grabs my wrist. He turns me around and he holds me in his arms

“What?” I ask sweetly and I caress his cheeks

“I want to meet my parents,” he says and I’m shocked

“You think that in the bathroom? That why you late?”

“I’m not joking. We have been together for two months. I think is time” he says seriously. We are two months together and even though I don’t have a lot of free time I make time to see him. All this time there isn’t one night that we haven’t slept apart. And I’m happier than ever. I smile

“I would love to meet them, Steven,” I say and he leaves a breath relieved

“Thank you, baby.” He says and he lifts me and turns us around laughing

“Thank you,” he says and he kisses me.

“You don’t have to thank me, baby. I feel it too that is the time.” I say and I hug him. I’m still in the air

“Steven?”

“Yes, baby?” I look at him in the eyes

“I’m falling in love with you,” I say and I stop breathing waiting for his answer. He let me on my feet and I started panicking. He doesn’t say anything and I’m afraid he will reject me. My God, I feel so stupid

“Grace...” he says softly

“It’s fine Steven. You don’t have to feel the same. I just feel the need to tell you how I feel. We can go” I say and I’m moving to turn around but he stops me

“Wait,” he says and cups my face. I feel tears ready to fall on my cheeks

“My Grace. I’m already in love with you” My tears fall down

“You make me the happiest man on earth telling me that you feel the same” and he kisses me sweetly and softly. He wipes my tears

“You thought I didn’t feel the same?” He asks me

“You didn’t speak and you left me down. I thought..” I sob

“Hey. It's ok” he hugs me. My face buried in his neck

“I’m sorry that even for a while I make you feel like that. I didn’t mean to.” He looks at me

“I wanted to look at you and touch you as I said”

“You are amazing. I love that I have you in my life”

“Me too baby. I feel alive. I haven’t felt like that before”

I fresh up and we start to drive to Sally’s. We took two coffees and croissants and then he drove me to the hospital.

“Call me any time baby. You don’t take a taxi or bus again”

“Steven maybe I will be late. I don’t want to cut sleep for come and pick me up.”

“I mean it, Grace,” he says seriously

“Ahhh. Fine, when my car will be finished?”

“Karl says at Friday,” he says and I close the cat door, I lean on the door looking at him

“Ok. Thanks again”

“Call me.” He says and I walk inside. I go to my office and I get ready. I go to the rooms with my little patients to check on them. This month was quiet, with easy surgeries and some sickness. Today after eleven I have the scheduled appointments. I look at the waiting area and I see my little friends.

After all the kids were the time for lunch. I walk to the cafeteria to get something to eat. My phone rings and I see Steven

“Hi baby”

“Hey, love. You have lunch break yet?”

“Just now. I’m at the cafeteria”

“I’m outside the hospital. I have a break too and I thought to eat something together”

“Well come inside” We hung up and after a while, I saw Steven in his uniform sexy as always. He kisses me and he smiles

“Hi,” I say blushing

“I love that you still blushing around me,” he says caressing my cheek. We take food and we sit down. We talk and eat together, and our work is hard but I like that we make time for ourselves.

“Thanks for coming to see me. I wanted to see you” I say and I walk him to his car.

“You don’t have to thank me. I wanted to see you and do this” he says and he kisses me. He hands around me and mine to his hair. My finger passes his hair.

“I have almost half an hour to go to the emergency”

I had a feeling and when I locked my office door and we both entered inside I confirmed it. He pushes me to the door, lifts me, and walks to the exam table. He cups my face

“Hello Dr. Smith,” I say as I see my clinic chief

“Hello Dr. MacLean” he looks at me again

“You look flush. Are you ok?” Yes, I’m great. I had amazing s*x a few minutes ago

“Yes. I was hurrying to come here so I guess I looked red from the running” After a while he left the emergency and I continued my shift. The shift was quiet only a boy that has flu and a little girl, she is Steven's niece, who broke her arm. I know her and her parents, Steven has shown me pictures but we haven’t met officially. His brother looks like Steven but Aden is slimmer and not as muscular as Steven.

I finished after an hour with Emma

“You’re ok sweetie? You are in pain?”

“No doctor I’m ok now.” She said smiling

“You are very strong. I will go to your parents to tell them about you. You will go home when I see your medical examinations.”

“If I start to feel pain at home?” She says ready to cry

“I will give your mom medicine for the pain sweetie don’t worry. Try to relax” I say smiling and I go to her parents. There I see Steven talking to his brother and sister-in-law. He sees me and smiles

“Grace?” He says

“She’s good. She will have gypsum for a few weeks but she is ok. I will have here her medicine that she has to take and instructions for recovery” and I give her the papers

“You can take her home after the rest medical examinations I wait to see”

“Thank you so much,” her mom says and she looks at the papers

“We are so relieved now. Thank you” Aiden says

“It wasn’t something serious. A broken wrist will heal soon. She will be a little uncomfortable but she will be ok” I say and I look at Steven smiling at me. His brother and his wife saw us.

“You don’t have met officially yet. I’m Aden and this is my wife Corine” Aiden says and he gives me his hand for a shake.

“Nice to meet you,” I say and then I shake Corine’s hand

“We have heard a lot about you,” Corine said

“Steven talks about you a lot too” Steven comes next to me

“She will meet Mom and Dad on Sunday”

“Yes, mom calls me. We all be there” Aiden said with a smile.

“Dr. MacLean?” I turned around and saw Summer a nurse

“The rest of the tests for Miss Campbell,” she said giving me the papers and the return. I look at the results

“Everything is good. I need for few hours for observation. I have to check for a concussion from the fall. When she ready you can take her home” I explain a lot more, I give a kiss to Steven and I return to Emma and the other boy Harry. Harry has a high fever so he has to stay the night

When is time for Emma to go home I walk her outside. She hugs her parents and Steven

“Thank you so much. See you on Sunday”

Aden said

“We will come again?” Emma asks worriedly

“No sweetie. Guess what? Grace is Uncle Steven's girlfriend. She will go to Grandma and Grandpa to meet them. And we will go too” Emma looks at me smiling

“Really. You are my uncle's girlfriend?” She asks. I look, Steven

“Yes, I am.”

“Yeah” she jumps

“She is pretty Uncle Steven,” she says looking at Steven

“I know she is sweetheart,” he said and he took my hand.

“Come on baby. Let’s go home. Mia and Jared worry for you” Corine says and takes her good hand. They said goodbye and they left. Steven stays back and we hold hands.

“It’s late. You will stay more?”

“I have to check a boy in the emergency and I can leave after”

“I will wait then.”

“Go to Sally’s eat something and I will call you,” I said and I kissed him

“Ok. Should I take your favorite for home?”

“You don't have to ask” I answer and he laughs. He leaves and I go to Harry. After I checked him and a few other kids at the clinic and texted Steven and went to my office to get ready.
