FIONA'S POV: The sound of the pounding approaching feet sent my heart beating even faster than it already was. If I continued at this rate, then I feared that my heart was going to rip out of my chest. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me through the line of trees but the hunters sounded right behind me, on my very heel. Tears blurred my vision as I struggled to see the path in front of me. Branches whipped without mercy at my face and I could feel the scratches and cuts from the bigger branches on my arms and legs. But that did very little to deter me.
