My day dragged slowly, and I realized that I missed having Fiona around me.
It had been less than three hours since she left my sight but it felt like I hadn’t seen her for days.
I had half the mind to look for her and drag her to my office, so I could lock her up in here and force her to watch me as I worked.
But I had a feeling it wouldn’t end well, so I let it be.
I could feel the excitement of the maids, the entire mansion was alive with happy chattering and planning.
