The day dragged by slowly for me to the point that every minute felt like an hour as I struggle to focus on the boring aspect of my job, reviewing contracts and going through 50 pages of PowerPoint, of why I should invest in something equally foolish.
But every meaningless phonecall and meeting that I engaged in, felt like an interruption from thoughts that kept circling back to Celeste and the secrets she was keeping from me.
At least one problem had been solved efficiently and I was by far pleased with the results if I say so myself.
