She winced as she woke up. Her head is very heavy. She opened her eyes and closed them back. Is she still alive? No she can't be.

She opened her eyes and they met the white ceilings and white walls. Is this the heavens? Or the afterlife?;it had better be.

She does not want to be alive. Never. A nurse came and waved in her face.

“Hey…how do you feel now” she cooed. Ashley just stared at the nurse. What does human beings want from her. Have they not done enough? She thought.

The nurse left her after seeing she did not respond. Maybe she went to call the doctor or something. Ashley did not care.

Minutes later, standing in front of Ashley is the most pretty doctor she had ever seen. Face card is on point. Ashley stared like a fool when the doctor smiled at her.

“Hey beautiful… how are you feeling?” The doctor asked her.

She did not reply. “What is your name. Do you need anything?” The doctor asked.

“I am fine “ she managed to say and the doctor nodded relieved she said something.

“You see, I know what happened to you is very saddening and inhumane but I want you to know that we are her to help you and we want the best for you, okay “ The doctor said calmly and Ashley just nodded.

First, where did they even find her, who brought her here for goodness sake? Why did they not just leave her to die?

Just why? She would have just forgotten she was once a human being and would have gone to be with her parents. She won't have to mourn them again. She would have even forgotten anything like them.

She tried to sit up on the bed but her head aches so badly. A nurse came to her side immediately.

“Sorry, your head is hurting because you have been sleeping for four days” she said and Ashley's eyes dilated in shock.
