Her friends scream as she turned in front of the mirror. She is dripping beauty. From her Head to the toes. Her ball gown accentuates her curves, then her long hair,her makeup,her nails, she is screaming class and luxury.
It is evening and they are in her room. She is getting ready for the party.
“You know what, I think we have to give it up for Ashley, she is the most beautiful woman in the world” Becky,one of her friends said.
“Shhh, you don't have to say it, that's just the normal fact” Jeanne said.
..” she is not more beautiful than me but let us give her for today. Beautiful girl” Renee, her crazy friend said.
They all burst into laughter. Renee is actually a funny girl and she goes extreme with jokes.
“You really have to show yourself right, this girl, when will you change?” Jeanne said playfully pulling Renee's ears.
Renee winced.
“Let me say the truth girl, I am actually the most beautiful” she said.
“You wish” Ashley said.
“But to be honest, Ashley you really look so gorgeous, I mean look at you, screaming beauty,class and luxury. I now see why Jeremy is the one crushing on you” Becky said.
“He is not crushing on me okay, he is just a friend” Ashley replied and the rest scoffed playfully.
“Friends indeed, you will keep denying the chemistry between you too” Jeanne said and Renee nodded.
“Okay, I don't deny the fact that I like him……”
“Yes???” Her friends chorused.
“You guys should stop seriously. I like him a lot I mean he is so cute “ Ashley said and her friends awned.
“ I hope he ask you out soon” Becky said immediately and the others agreed.
“ Guys, please stop making something out of nothing, he hasn't even said anything about liking me or not “ Ashley said blushing”
“And he will soon” Jeanne said.
Just then, there is a knock on the door. One of the maid entered.
“Ma'am, your mom asked me to call you, the party is starting” the maid said.
“Oh Benita, alright, tell her I am coming right away” she said.
“Girls let's go” she said to her friends who started screaming.
“Go GIRL! Go and conquer them all! The stage is yours baby girl!” Her friends kept screaming as they went downstairs to the party area.
It is actually a party beside the pool. There are many people. Ashley is surprised at the number of people in the party. She is happy nevertheless.
As she entered the party area with her friends, all heads turn to look at her. A loud gasp escape the audience as she walks majestically with her friends. Everyone is staring at her in awe. So many girls will be dying to be in her shoes right now. She knows.
Her mother came to welcome her.
“My princess!” Her mother exclaims.”You are looking so beautiful” she said with a delightful smile.
“Yes mommy, you gave me the beauty”she said and her mother blushed.
Her mom led her to her seat. Her seat is beautifully decorated in pink with two steps to the seat. She smiled and went to sit on it. Her friends also sat on chairs beside her. Her dad is giving a welcome speech.
Just then, her phone rang. It is Jeremy. She blushed at the thought of it. Is he coming, he said he may come and may not depending on his schedule.
Even as an high school final year student, Jeremy Thompson is the one in charge of his family's business. His dad had died sometimes ago and was the one in charge of it.
She picked the call.
“ Hey Jeremy “ she said into the receiver.
“Ashley, thank goodness you picked up. You know what, where are you “ Jeremy asked with a panic filled voice.
“Uhm…” she cringed. Jeremy has never souner like this before.
“What happened?” She asked.
“Actually, I want you to get out of that party scene now, I am on my way, I will see you soon “ he said.
“What! What are you talking about?” She questioned but the phone was already off.
What is happening? She thought as she stared at her phone. She looked around. Everyone is so happy and in a refreshing mode. What is Jeremy talking about?
Suddenly the lights went off. It was so sudden and everyone panicked. Then There were multiple gunshots fired into the air.
