I anxiously waited for Kit to arrive at our meeting place. It’s already been 15 minutes, and she hasn’t arrived yet. I was about to leave when I saw her rushing into the coffee shop.
Kit: “I’m sorry, I didn’t anticipate the traffic coming in here. Have you been waiting long?”
Lucas: “About 15 minutes.”
Kit: “It’s not that long, then.”
I got annoyed immediately and wanted to tell Kit that having someone wait, however long, is rude. I just decided to ask what she wanted to talk about because I didn’t want to be here any longer than I had to.
Lucas: “So, what do you need to tell me?”
Kit: “Let me order my coffee first, okay?”
I let out a sigh and just let Kit do what she had to do. I kept looking at my watch to show her that I was getting impatient.
