WE were driving towards Alexandra’s house, and Samuel couldn’t stop asking questions about his cousins and what they were like. Sarah was able to take care of Alexandra’s eldest son when he was a kid, but she doesn’t know what he’s like now, so she can’t really answer his questions.
When I answered Zac’s call to Sarah earlier, I tried to be friendly. I know that Sarah wants me to be on good terms with him, and I didn’t want her to get stressed out. When I heard Sarah’s phone ring, I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Zac. Kara had just gone into the bathroom, so it would take a while for her to come back out. I decided to answer the call.
Lucas: “Hello?”
Zac: ”Who’s this?”
Lucas: “Lucas. Sarah’s husband. Why are you calling, Zac?”
