Skye's POV
Seeing my father show up, I took off down the sidelines of the river. I mind-linked him when I realized the tree was breaking under my weight, I then screamed for him to show up when Diana didn't come back up. As long as he had Nathan I knew I could get to her.
Her head appeared for only a second, her arms grasping at the water for something to grab hold of but only finding more water. My heart was beating so fast I thought it would leap from my chest.
Just as I came to a twenty foot drop, I saw her head come back up only to realize the same thing I did. I yelled her name, like it would help soften the fall, and as I peered over I saw a few rocks at the bottom. Fear gripped my heart. She was going to hit one of them, her only savior was that the waterfall wasn't very big.
