Diana's POV
In the following weeks after Skye proposed to me, his sister has adjusted to raising Nathan without daily help. The king has lightened his workload, and because of that, Skye has been working long late nights almost every day. I'm usually asleep when he comes back, and I wake up with him already gone.
I know it's selfish of me to want to see more of him, but with only him doing everything, I understand the responsibility he has to this kingdom. Knowing he works so hard to ensure everyone's happy and safe only makes me love him more.
And with all of the work he's been doing, he hasn't had time to take me into town to pick out wedding bands; I wear one that his sister found in her things for the time being. I've been questioned about it but haven't told anyone we are now engag
