Dad's head c****d to the side as he looked over at Mom. "Everly, you never told me that. Why would you say something like that to her?"
"I never said it." Mom said turning away from me and looking at him desperately. "I wouldn't ever say something like that. You know I love her with all of my heart." She explained but I know what I felt, her emotions that day were something dark and menacing when she looked at me. And I swear I heard her say it? Was I hearing things due to how scared I was of myself and what happened with Luca?
