ELENA'S POV “Julian…?” The shock all over my face said it all. “I couldn't allow my assets to be in danger,” Julian said in his sweet masculine voice. The type that'll make you want to pull off your panties and have him pin you down to the edge of the bed. How did you get here so fast? You gave me an hour. Have you started stalking me now? I sounded a bit upset. And how did you know where I live? I asked arrogantly while walking straight into the house without taking a second look at him. “F**king hell…” the sight of him makes me want to do some crazy things. I thought to myself, "like being bent over by him and finding his d**k deep down my a**hole.” I wonder if this man will allow me to mourn my father in peace. Crazy how I'll have to cope with him in a house. I kept fantasizing. “Who doesn't know Thorne's mansion?” Julian asked jestingly. “I snapped back to reality.” I didn't bother to look back at him, because it would be a total waste of time. I only had an hour to pack up “the most important things”, in his words. How do I say goodbye to the life I've known within an hour? It seemed like I didn't have a choice. I hurried up to my room, went straight to my closet, and started scanning through the dresses to pick out the favorite ones Dad got me on special occasions, especially on my birthdays. To keep his memories with me. He might be a bad man to the world, but he was my father and I loved him. I picked up the photo frame of me and my mom, picked the one with dad as well and proceeded to pack some other things, like valuable jewelry, my gadgets and my personal bank cards. “That's if I still have a penny to my name." “You have five minutes left,” Julian's voice sounded behind me. I fidgeted because I wasn't expecting him to be in my room. I looked back to see him leaning by the door with his hands in his pockets and his legs crossed. Don't you understand boundaries? How could you be in my room? I said angrily, I couldn't take it at this point. “Your room?” He asked with a smirk on his face while walking quietly towards me. “I own you now, I own the Thorne Empire and every property.” Why did you do it? I asked him as I dropped what I was holding and decided to move closer to him. I stood at an average height, just tall enough to meet his gaze without craning my neck. My hands crossed and my face straight. Why did you save me from Silas? Who are you, and what do you want from me? Julian stood, uninterested in the question I had just asked him. “We just have a few minutes to go, Elena, meet me in the car.” “There's a lot of time for discussions but definitely not here.” Immediately Julian stepped out of the room, my phone rang. It was Lilian… “Hey girl… how're you doing?” Lilian sounded exhausted and her voice low. She had been in California for the past two months on a business trip and other personal projects. Just take a guess, I responded, my life hasn't been going great. I'm left with nothing Lily, nothing. I couldn't hold back my tears as they began to escape from my eyes. I guess I've been strong for so long “the past few hours had been hell." I began to feel overwhelmed. “I understand you perfectly well, and I'm sorry for all you've been through. Sorry I couldn't make it to his burial, but I'll be back soon,” Lilian said. “Can't wait, I really have a lot to talk about," I responded to her. I hung up the phone, then hurriedly carried my suitcase bag. I was hell sure Julian would be furious now… I had already kept him waiting. I rushed down the stairs as the air from the massive living room hugged my face. I was leaving the house… Leaving all my memories and inheritance behind.
