My palms darted up to my lips, trying to muffle the scream that was building from my throat. My breath caught, heart racing so violently I was sure it would betray my hiding place. I had trailed Stephen, quietly, as a shadow that sticks to the edges of the walls, my curiosity simmering too intensely to be contained.
