Tyler was holding Eden, whose shoulder was injured. Hazel ran toward him and threw her arms around him. "Honey, I’m fine, I’m okay," he said, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "Dad, who did this? What happened to him?" Hazel demanded, her voice sharp with anger. "Just a few rogues—they attacked us when Jacob and I walked in," Tyler replied calmly. --- "You’ve got duty patrolling tonight," Alpha Aaron said without looking at him, his gaze fixed out the window. Aiden instantly glared at him, annoyance written all over his face. "But Dad, you know I’ve got plans tonight!" he protested. "Go where?" Aaron asked, finally turning to him. "Dad, you know I hate patrolling," Aiden said angrily. "You are the upcoming Alpha, Aiden. You need to know your responsibilities," Aaron snapped.
