My Eyes

As we head out the room the twins clingy to me then ask
“Say, Ramon, that last video you’ve played, what was that? It sounds like a nasty scandal”
“Care to tell us what you saw?”
“Yeah tell us!, Tell us!”
“I don’t wanna talk about it” I said
Darryl Lyn was about to open the door but Vermillion shouted my name. I slide my arms of the twins’ grasp then look back
“What!” I pissedly said
“If you want to talk about what you saw meet me at my room later” He said
“I’ll be there” I said
Darryl Lyn activates her eyes then opens the door. Several students that are waiting outside were caught on her spell. The other students don’t want to suffer the same fate so they clear a path for us
“That’s it step aside people if you know what’s best for you” I said
I pull out my phone and give my driver a call but I can’t reach him, I dialed Elena’s number but she too is unreachable
“WTF! I think my phone is busted” I said to myself
“Oh let me check” Cherry Lyn said
I hand over my phone and she quickly gives it a scan.
“I see the problem!” She cheerfully said
“You don’t have a cell signal here. Wait I’ll call her for you” She said as she shows it to me. She grabbed her phone then give Elena a call but her too can’t contact Elena
“Weird? This never happened before”
“Hey sis do you have a cell signal. Ramon is about to make an important phone call” She said
“Sorry sis but I didn’t bring my phone with me” She was sorry
“Let’s just get out of this crowd maybe they are the ones jamming the signal” Darryl Lyn said
I continue calling Elena but I can’t get through so I ask them if they could give me a lift back to the dorm and they agreed. We headed straight to the dormitories and went our separate ways. While on the elevator I keep thinking about that god damned video. I slam the elevator wall just to let all my anger and frustrations out. I might have overdid it but luckily the elevator didn’t crash. Then I realised something, maybe that’s not Skylia. Like that girl is just one of her relatives in replacement of her. I keep that in mind as I exit the elevator and walk to my room. I grabbed my keys and opened the door but it was unlocked. I got a weird feeling about this so I put my guard up. With my eyes activated I slowly open the door and step back. I don’t know how but I can sense someone else’s presence inside the room and there are like five of them.
“Intruders? But how? This dorm’s security is top notch unless” a thought inside my head
I got a good feeling who could be inside my room. I pick up my phone and give Elena a call and a phone rang inside
Without hesitation I enter my room.
“You know you left the door open right. I thought someone sneak up on me while I am gone” I said as I open the door
I saw Alexandra, Draco, Elena, Gyson, and some other dude which is suppose to be a demon but he looks more like a capitalist if you ask me
They are all staring at me like I did something wrong
“What?” I reacted
“Have a sit so we can discuss about the little issue we want to resolve” the other dude said as he offers me the seat in front of them
“And you are?” I ask as I approach them
“Watch your mouth kid”
“The person you’re talking to is the demo” Draco said but the dude raise his hand which made Draco stopped talking
The demon stands up walk towards me
“Sorry if I haven’t formally introduce myself”
“I am Procyon Von Dire the president of the board of directors” He said then he offers me his hand
I grab it tight and look him straight in the eyes. The look in his eyes is cold and somehow intimidating but I stand my ground
“Ramon Paloma good sir” I said then I shook his hand
“Von Dire you say, are you related to Vermillion or something?” I ask
“So you know my son” He seems glad
So this dude is Vermillions father, he looks decent compared to that his son
“Shall we begin?” He ask as he directs me to my seat
He waited for me to sit down before he head backs to his seat
“Are you aware why we came here, Mr. Paloma?” He ask as soon as he sits down
“No sir, I don’t know why you’ve come here” I straightforwardly said. I cross my arms and legs and waited for a decent explanation but instead he just giggles as if everything is just a joke
“So, you are not aware that you sealed off Ms. De Villa nad Mr. Maccapuno’s spirit arts”
“You see their magic are the foundation of the universities defenses and without it the university is vulnerable from oppressors
“I want you to reverse the the seal please” He said
“I can’t” I said while look at he ground
“What do you mean you can’t. Only a skilled arts user can seal off someone’s spirit magic”
“If you manage to seal off their magic you have the powers to unseal it” Procyon said
“Look I am sorry but I am not capable of reversing the seal because I don’t know how”
“I just got my powers like today and I didn’t expect something like this to happen”
“If you know how to unseal it you can teach me” I said as I clench the chair
“Sorry kid, it's not happening. A magic seal is unique per magic user”
“Even the gods can’t unseal someone else’s seal” Gyson said
“No, there is a way”
“An origin magic user can break the seal but it’s either they are forgotten or forsaken”
“What’s your race Ramon?” Procyon ask
“My whole life i thought I was a human but my limiter has been broken giving me this powers”
“A demon told me that this mythical eyes of mine resembles the eyes that Oculuses have but they said that they were all irradecated a century ago” I said
“Not all of them because there was an agreement between the gods and Lisandro the head of the Oculus”
“The agreement is all about setting the Oculuses without the powers to see the future free in exchange for the capture and execution of those who possesses it”
“The fact that you possess a limiter is that you have power that needs to be contained” Procyon said
“Say, Ms. De Villa, Mr. Maccapuno. Which pattern did you see in his eyes? Kindly illustrate it for me”
Elena pulls out a pen then hands it over to Alexandra. On the table top she makes a quick sketch of the symbol she saw in my eyes. Procyon analyzes it but he too doesn't know what it is. He takes a photo of it then said
“I never seen a symbol like this before but I think the ancient archives might help us decipher this symbol”
He stands up and fixes his coat
“We can call it a day now. There’s nothing we can do to unseal your spirit magic”
“For now take a rest and leave everything to the board. We will figure out a way to defend the university” Procyon said
“Why? Is losing their powers a bad thing?” I ask
“We have a lot of students inside the campus and most of them are still wearing limiters what if their limiters shatters and they can’t control their powers”
“Just like what happened to you and Ms. De Villa’s sister”
“The possibilities are endless that’s why we regulate it” Procyon said
The rest of the group stands up and follows Procyon on their way out. I head straight to my room to get a change of clothes but Procyon said something to me
“Paloma, be a good sport and sweep my son in the election. I want to see how far he gets without relying on someone to do his job”
“As the next demon lord he should know how to act like one first” He said
I give him a nod then enter my bedroom
“See you tomorrow kid” Gyson said as he closes the door shut
I quickly changed my clothes then went to Vermillion’s room. I knock three times and someone immediately open the door and pulls me in
“Is he gone?” Vermillion ask while shaking as if he is afraid of something or someone
“Who? Your dad? Yeah he just left a couple of minutes ago” I informed
His face was filled with relief the moment I said that. Feels like they have father son issues. I want to talk about it but that’s not what I came here for.
