Lunchtime, the twins and I are heading to the cafeteria. On our way there we ran into the student council
“Ramon, long time to see” Katarina greeted
“Yow!” I said as I give each one of them a high five
“So, how’s the campaign doing?” I ask with a cheerful look on my face
“I think we got the lead as of the moment”
“By the way Ramon, are you ready for the debate? You know your platform is against the board right?”
“Are you really willing to take the risk?” the secretary said with a worried look on her face
“Don’t worry nothing bad is going to happen” I said as I give her a pat on the shoulder
“Say, have you eaten lunch yet? We are actually heading to the cafeteria. Why not join us” I propose
“I think we’re good we still have campaign materials to distribute” Katarina said
“Pres. just so you know the student council is not my slaves.”
“Why not take a break and join us for lunch. You and your men all look exhausted and it’s only half of a day”
“It’s not bad to unwind for once in a while. So, let’s go” I said then I grabbed her arm and pull her to the cafeteria
“Let go of me” She said as she pulls her arm but her my grip was too tight
“No you’re coming with me” I tease
“Let’s go guys before she changes her mind” I said to the rest of the group
“Say Agramon sisters, is he always like that?” the treasurer ask
“What do you mean?” Cherry Lyn ask
“He’s way too cheerful and optimistic”
“I don’t know why but Pres. never acted so submissive before. You know her right?” the treasurer said
“Yeah the iron fist of the beast clan”
“But even the fiercest beast can be tamed” Darryl Lyn said
“But the Alpha bows to no one” the treasurer said
“So you’re saying that President Katarina is under Ramon?” Darryl Lyn said and the treasurer was speechless
“If you ask me no one is inferior or superior”
“For me they are like two friends getting along with each other. The aura they emit is mutual which means they both benefit”
“Maybe Vampires are too dense to notice such things” Darryl Lyn said
“How rude sis” Cherry Lyn said in a grumpy manner
“Just sayin” Darryl Lyn acting like a total bitch
We all soon arrived at the cafeteria. The student council boys all took the girls’ orders then left
“So, what are your plans in the upcoming debate?”
“I know the third years and fourth years are going to base their votes according to the one that pleases their interest but some have already decided because of their lineage which doesn’t favors you” Katarina said
“As I’ve told you. Don’t worry I got this Vermillion may have the upper hand when it comes to connections but I am certain that I will please the masses.”
“It’s a matter of governance not fame or status. It’s all about consistency and competence” I said
“You may have the skill and aptitude but remember that you're up against someone that will do anything just to win” Katarina said
“Ah ah!” I reacted as I wag my finger at her
“Sometimes the way you think about others isn’t the way they actually are. Ever heard of the quote don’t judge a book by its cover? Or looks can be deceiving?” I said
“But the Von Dire will do anything just to attain power and dominance”
“You should listen to me coz I’ve dealt with them and they are not the one that you should taken for granted” Katarina warns
“Tell me why are you so terrified? What have they done to you?” I asked
“I was almost killed during the election. I was assassinated when they heard that the odds are not in favor of them” Katarina said as she unbuttons her uniform. She then shows me her scar then quickly buttons her uniform back
“I was lucky that my mind is stronger than my flesh which boosted my healing powers” Katarina said
“On top of that Vermillion is the soon to be demon lord so he needs to win this election to prove his worth” the secretary said
“But Vermillion isn’t the foul being that you think he is”
“Did you bond with him just once?” I ask and they were dead silent
“Based on your reactions, no right? So don’t go barking at the wrong tree. Vermillion is true to his word and I am confident about it. He plays fair because he told me all their plans so I too can get a heads up”
“He maybe rouge at your eyes but for me he’s just an ordinary dude on steroids LOL” I said
“What happened here?”
“You all look so tense” the vice president said as they place their food on the table
“If only you three were here you too will suffer the same faith” the secretary said
“Why? What did we miss?” the treasurer ask
“You know I’m starving let’s eat” Katarina said to avoid the question
After eating we part ways
“Hey, Ramon don’t you think you went a little bit too far?”
“She’s still the president thou” Cherry Lyn said
“Oh, sorry I didn’t meant to disrespect her”
“Please next time stop me as soon as you notice me doing the same thing” I said
“Dude nothing’s wrong on what you’ve said earlier but watch your tone”
“Sounds like you were picking up a fight with pres” Darryl Lyn said
We are heading back to class but the hallway is awfully crowded compared to previous days
“Move aside!” Darryl Lyn said then she uses her powerful eyes everyone immediately steps aside then cover their eyes
“What’s up with you people blocking the path” Darryl Lyn said in a grumpy manner
With every step I take I feel like I am being drawn into something. Like a something is enticing my sense to go look for it
“Ramon your eyes!” Cherry Lyn said as if she’s surprised
She hands me a pocket mirror and my eyes turned blue without me noticing it
“Don’t mind me that’s just a trait I possessed after my limiter broke” I said
“I see” Cherry Lyn reacted
We are closing in the staircase then I notice vines all over the floor and the students are more cramped compared to earlier. I pat a random student and ask what’s him what’s happening
“We can’t get through like there is something blocking the path like a barrier” he said
I scooch over so I can easily pass through them. When I got to the front I saw this hedge wall blocking the path. This must be spirit magic because the other students can’t see anything. I tried touching and it was sturdy. I bang it a couple of times then I magically pass through. I landed on a soft cushion of leaves. The surrounding is covered with plants and woody trees. Feels like I was transported into a jungle. The other students were all shocked. Some tried banging it but they didn’t had any luck at all maybe it’s just a once in a lifetime opportunity
“What kind of sorcery is this?” I ask myself as I head up the staircase
Then I felt the same sensation for earlier which made my body move on its own. I tried resisting it but it’s too strong. My body then quickly ran upstairs and every floor I passed by the scenery is different. From a wild jungle to a horrifying wasteland. Then I heard voices shouting words that I couldn’t discern. From a distance I then heard Margaret wailing as if she’s in total pain. I don’t know why but my body is heading towards the direction where the voice came as if I am drawn to that sound
My body turned to the other hall and I was immediately petrified the moment I saw the tremendous aura that Alexandra and the two teachers were emitting. From the other side I saw Margaret entangled with vines covered with thorns. I hurts me just looking at her
“Is that you Ramon? Alexandra shouted without looking at me
“Yeah it’s me” I replied
“We need your help kid” the dude from earlier said
I approach them
“Looks like you’re already warmed up” He said as he saw my eyes
“Listen very well kid. We need you to nullify her magic using those eyes of yours. Just repeat what you have done to Ms. De Villa earlier at the faculty” He said
“But I don’t know how to execute it. That was just a fluke” I said
“Just do it kid it won’t hurt if you try”
“Now go!” He said then he pushes me towards Margaret
“What’s his problem” a thought inside my head as I look back at him with a smirk on my face
