Jane’s Pov I drove for what felt like hours, my eyes heavy with fatigue, my body aching from the tension. I forced myself to stay awake, knowing if I fell asleep at the wheel, I'd crash into a tree or worse, get myself killed. Finally, I spotted a small cafe on the side of the road, its neon sign reading "Open 24/7." I pulled into the parking lot, my car being the only car in sight. The cafe looked deserted, but my stomach was growling, and I desperately needed a break. I ordered a large milkshake, burger, and medium fries and settled into a booth by the window. As I took my first bite, I let out a moan as I stuffed my mouth with the yummy goodness. As I was enjoying my meal, I felt a sudden prickle on the back of my neck. It was as if someone was watching me, following me. I tried to brush it off as paranoia, but the feeling only intensified. I glanced around the cafe, but it was empty, except for the waitress, who was busy wiping down the counter. I looked out the window, but the parking lot was still deserted. Yet, the sensation persisted. Someone was watching me; I was sure of it. My heart began to race as I took another bite of my burger, my eyes scanning the area. I looked really crazy with the way I was twisting and turning. "Something doesn't feel right," my wolf said. "We should get out of here." I ignored her, not wanting to pay attention to her. Despite my suspicions, I finished my meal, left a tip for the waiter, and started to make my way to my car. As I went to my car, I saw someone standing next to it. Before I could confront whoever it was, I felt a bang on my head, and I was knocked unconscious. I tried to open my eyes, but they felt heavy, and my wolf wasn't helping. "You should have just listened to me, now look what you got us into," she said, her voice laced with frustration. I heard voices, and it sounded like there were three or four people around me. "We need to get rid of her," one of them said. "She's a rogue, and we don't want any trouble." "Wait, let's not be hasty," another voice chimed in. "We should wait for the alpha to arrive. He'll know what to do with her." I tried to speak, but my words came out in a faint whisper. "W-what's going on? Who are you?" I tried to stay awake but my eyes fail me As I drifted off into unconsciousness, I heard the sound of footsteps lurking in the distance, growing fainter and fainter until everything went black once more. I was forced to wake when a bucket of cold water was dumped over my head, soaking me to the bone. Groggily, I opened my eyes to find myself in a dimly lit room, surrounded by unfamiliar faces. I tried to move, but my wrists and ankles were cuffed. Panic set in as I realized I was trapped. I pulled on the chains, trying to set myself free. “How smart of you.” Shut up my wolf can be really annoying. “When we break free I’m in charge of making decisions, it seems you suck at them.” She growled at me, as I was struggling, I heard a voice and it instantly made me stop what I was doing. His voice was low, but held so much authority. “No need to do that, you'll only hurt yourself." I tried to struggle again, but the voice sighed and said, "I said stop.” Suddenly, I felt weak in the knees, wondering what was going on and why his words sent shivers down my spine. A wave of submission washed over me, and my struggles ceased. I looked up at the speaker, wondering who he was. He was tall and intimidating, not just that alone he was sexy, his face was well structured and his jaw line looked as sharp as a knife, his teeth were perfectly white and straight, his scent filled my nostril, he had a strong oak smell, his dark hair was messy and suited him perfectly. Why do I feel hot on the inside? He towered over me, his broad shoulders and chest exuding power and strength. "Who are you?" I whispered, my voice barely audible. “I should be the one asking you that, you are in my territory.
