Chapter.Five

Noel’s Pov

I watched as her face filled with shock, I don’t remember the last time a rogue came into my turf, so when I got the call of someone trespassing I had to see who it was and find out if they would be a threat, She didn’t look like a threat but you couldn’t be too safe. Her scent caught my attention, my wolf was also all over the place wagging his tail in excitement, the way she submitted to me when I told her to stop pulling at the chain, woke something in me.

"My name is Noel," I said, with a smirk on my face. “And you are?"

She looked up at me, her eyes wide with fear. "J-Jane," she stuttered.

I raised an eyebrow. "Jane. That's a pretty name. But it doesn't tell me what you're doing in my territory."

Jane swallowed hard, her eyes darting around the room. "I... I was just passing through. I didn't mean to intrude."

I chuckled, a low rumble that seemed to make her tremble. "Passing through? Without permission? That's not how things work around here, Jane. You're lucky I'm feeling generous. Otherwise, you'd be in a world of trouble."

I took a step closer, my eyes locked on hers. "Now, tell me... what brings you to my territory?"

She hesitates at first but starts talking

“I…I was running away from home.” She whispers.

My eyebrow shot up. “Running? and why were you running?”

“I don’t think I’m ready to share that with you just yet.” I scoff at her response, she’s funny

“ It seems as though you have forgotten you are in my territory and I can dispose of you.” I wasn’t going to do that I was just bluffing but I needed her to talk.

I watch has a breathe gets caught in her mouth, my parents died in a fire few months ago and everything just fell apart, I was blamed for their death and I eventually started getting bullied, me being an omega didn’t also help my situation, I couldn’t take it anymore so I left, I needed a new start and like I said I was just passing by I didn’t mean to intrude.” My expression softened and my wolf whimpered in pain. I could sense her pain, and I knew she was leaving out something but I didn’t want to push it. I felt the urge to protect her and keep her safe. I already knew she was my mate. From the moment we met, and I was crawling with excitement on the inside, I have been waiting to be mated for 4 years now.

I took a deep breath, trying to composed myself. I didn't want to scare her off. "I see," I said, my voice softer than I intended. "Well, Jane, it seems like you've been through a lot. And I'm sorry for that."

I paused, studying her face. She was still wary, still scared, I’ll protect her no matter what she was mine and I would never let her get sad again not anymore.

"You know, Jane," I said, my voice low and a bit raspy. “I think you'll find that my territory is a lot safer than wherever you came from. And I'm willing to offer you a place here, as long as you're willing to submit to me."

Her eyes flashed up to mine, a spark of fear in them. But I just smiled, my wolf wagging his tail in excitement.

"Don't worry, Jane," I said, my voice dripping with promise. "I'll take good care of you. And I'll make sure you never have to go through anything like that again."

I took a step closer, my eyes locked on hers. I could see the fear in her eyes, but I could also see the attraction. She was drawn to me, just like I was drawn to her.

"So, what do you say, Jane?".”Will you stay with me, and let me take care of you?"

I held my breath, waiting for her answer. I knew it was a lot to ask, and it felt rushed but I couldn't help myself. I wanted her, and I was willing to do whatever it took to make her mine.

Jane's eyes searched mine, as if she was looking for a guarantee of safety. After a moment, she nodded slightly, her voice barely audible. "Okay."

I smiled, my wolf letting out a triumphant howl, I didn’t blame him I knew he was excited . "Good," I said, my voice softening. "I promise you, Jane, you won't regret this. You'll be safe here, and I'll make sure you're happy."

I reached out, my hand extended to her. "Come on, Jane. Let's get you settled in. You can stay in one of the guest rooms for now, until we figure out a more permanent arrangement."

Jane hesitated for a moment, then took my hand, her touch sending a spark of electricity through me. I pulled her to her feet, my eyes never leaving hers. "Welcome to your new home, Jane.”

As I led her out of the room, I couldn't help but feel excited . This little omega was going to be mine, and I was going to make sure she never wanted to leave.
