Their relationship had been rocky since Kristen vanished, and she was much younger than him. Chris didn’t believe she had just walked out on him though, and neither did the police. They came to his home a week after he reported Rebeca missing, armed with a search warrant and cadaver-sniffing dogs.
They found parts of her, but only a few.
