“Bethany, please…” He began but Alex stepped past him and opened the door for the limo for me to get in.  Dane stood straight and threw his book in the front seat the second that he saw the stern look on Alex’s face. I thought about getting in and driving off but I was not one to leave things unfinished. Richard needed to know where he stood in my life.
