  “Going so soon?” He shot at me as I was about to escape from his office.   I froze. “Why not? Your jacket’s back, your subordinate’s corrected, and your ego’s fed. My work here is done.” I said with a raised brow, acting oblivious.   His chair creaked as he leaned back. “Not quite.” His voice had a lazy, dangerous amusement to it. “You offered me dinner. Said you’d try something new.”   I turned, arching a brow. “So?” I threw at him. I didn’t think he was going to take my words seriously.
