  Third person's POV   The morning continued quietly after Rowan stepped out. Light stretched softly across the hospital room, gold around the edges where it met white walls and stainless steel rails. Liora sat beside her grandfather again, her fingers lightly resting atop his. His breathing was steadier, his chest rising and falling in a calm pattern that eased her own.
