Mirabel glanced between us, clearly weighing whether she should push back. Liora put on a smile meant to reassure her.
"It's fine," she said quietly to Mirabel. "I'll be fine."
Mirabel hesitated, then gave her a small nod. "Call me when you get in." She said. She didn't look like she wanted to leave Liora with me but she didn't look like she wanted to be here with me either so she quietly chose to listen to Liora and leave
"I will." Liora said to Mirabel. Mirabel gave one more nod before turning to leave, her heels clicking against the polished floor. The door shut, leaving the two of us in the sudden hush of the private suite.
