The meeting.

Rachel combed out her long hair. She was sure it had got thicker since having Eva. She pulled it back and braided it out of the way. Mum had Eva while she took the kids to visit with their dad. He had a habit of not turning up, so she was hoping he would so the kids wouldn't be upset.

She just threw on the first thing that she found. She definitely didn't want to dress up. It gave her ex weird ideas, about them getting back together. She was never going to do that. Been there, lived that, bought the T-shirt she thought. The kids were dragging their heels, not wanting to come off the computer.

She had to say she would ban them off the computer for a week if they didn't move it. When they caught the bus it was full and they ended up stood up all the way there. Her ex turned up and whisked the kids off for an afternoon of too much sugar and Xbox.

She turned to head home when she saw Gregg. She was so surprised, she just stood there staring at him. He came over looking at her as if she was a deer about to bolt.
