Rachel's ex came around to pick up their children. They parted a year ago, after she found him on the living room floor f***ing her best friend. She had wanted nothing to do with either of them, but could not deny the children their father. He was being slimy as usual. 'I don't get it rach, you say you have forgiven me. So why can't you take me back?', he said. She gave him her best seriously face. 'Forgiven but not forgotten', she said. 'I don't want to talk about this right now, there are the children to think about you know'. He was a no good father. He didn't turn up for them, forgot birthdays and special events. The only reason he was around at all, to try and get her back. She can't figure out why he would be bothered. It's not like their relationship had meant anything to him. In the end she just felt like another one of his possessions, like his car keys. She deserved more than that. She deserved love. She had been so young when they got together. At the time she had feelings about him, but she couldn't call it love. There was something he could not give her, the dominant.
