Chapter 5 Bridie’s days passed in a blur of seasickness and storm. She wouldn’t look at Alf when he brought the tea around, or talk to him. This was his fault, all of it—the leaving home, the seasickness, and now this horrible salt-water bath on the main deck. ‘Come on,’ he said, pulling back her covers. ‘There’s a good girl. Leave your notebook.
