Zoya’s POV
“Hi, mom!”
“How is my baby doing? It seems as though you don’t miss your mom and dad at all. It’s been so long since you called, so we thought we’d call you instead.”
“Please don’t say that mom. I miss you guys terribly.”
“Then come and visit us. We miss you baby.”
“I will mom. I have a few vacation leave added up and I will come to visit you guys soon. Say hi to dad for me.”
“I will honey. You take care of yourself now.”
“You too mom. Bye.”
“Bye.”
Noah’s POV
On my way home, I called Lily and Jack to come over. My blood was boiling after the stunt Lucas pulled today. I wanted to kill him right there where he dared to talk to Zoya. I needed to calm down and think of a plan to keep Zoya away from Lucas’ reach. I saw Lily and jack get out of their car as I pulled to my driveway.
After settling down with drinks, I told Lily and Jack everything. I told them what Lucas and Aiden said about Zoya’s past to the meeting we had with Lucas this afternoon. After being quiet for a while, Lily was the one to speak out first.
“It seems that Zoya is insecure about herself. Because of her past, she thinks she not worthy of anyone’s love. We have to do something…, something to make her believe in love again. Zoya needs to see that not all men are like Lucas and Aiden.”
“Yeah, but how do we do that?” I was ready to pull out my hair. Ask me something about business I will give you thousands of solutions, but I have no clues in the matter of love.
“I have a brilliant idea!” Lily clapped her hands as she jumped like a five-year old girl. “Why don’t you bring her over to our family lake house for a week. There, she can get to know about you and our family, and we can show her all the love she deserves. All the love we have for someone my brother considers special.” She gave me a warm smile before pulling me into a hug. “I’ll call her and let her know the change in plan so she can be ready when you pick her up on Sunday.”
“No. I’ll call and tell her. If you call, I’m sure she will make excuses, but she won’t be able to refuse me,” I said confidently.
