Aaron's POV
Bozo? No woman has ever called me that before, she's got guts, I'll give her that. When she finds out I'm the Alpha of Bloodhound, perhaps her attitude would change.
I watched her brows come together, it seemed to be a habit. Her anger only amused me.
The only women who have never been interested in me are relatives. It's good we agree on one thing.
“What's funny?” she demanded. “Why are you smiling?” I was? I hadn't realised.
“What's it gonna be, Sarah? Are you in or not?”
I saw her hesitate, and that was the right thing to do. No one should make a deal with the likes of me. I don't take it easy on faulters.
“When's the next new moon?” she asked.
“A fortnight from now, I'm not waiting that long.”
“A few days would be fine then.”
“Alright”
She turned to leave, I watched her lose her way, that'll teach her.
I wait till she's out of sight and head to the fun room. It's ajar, Henry must have left it open after inputting the password.
The door shouldn't be visible, that's the whole reason for this.
I go in, and shut it behind me.
“Arrrgghhhhh” music to my ears, just like I suspected, right before me is the diamond thief.
“Where is it?!” Henry thundered, claws out. The thief's chest was slashed with it.
“ ‘Kill him’ was an order.”
“And I would have,” Henry said, with a twinkle in his eyes. “But, buddy here didn't just steal our diamonds because he's a thief. It's because he's a hired one.”
“You haven't had this much fun since someone from Red Moon crossed boundaries”
“I suspect it's them”
I say nothing and fix my gaze on the only other person there.
“Some human friend of his” Henry stated, tracking my gaze.
“Put him out of his misery.”
“With pleasure”
“No, no, no, please no!” the thief shouted as Henry went over to the guy at the right corner of the room.
He pierced his claws into the man's chest, twisting it at the same time. Sending his body into a convulsing rage.
Blood pumped out, spilling everywhere.
Henry tends to like his kills messy, I like to take my time and in turn ravage it.
“When you're ready to tell us all you know, let us know. Until then, welcome home.” with that I headed out. I needed to see my sister.
“Open up, Avery” the door slid open, everywhere smelled like cotton and roses.
Her room had no speck of dirt in it, her clothes arranged. Impeccable. Too good to be true.
“What have you been up to, Avery?” I eyed her, in search for a clue to anything she might have done and is hiding.
“Nothing, been here all day tending to my flowers”
Her voice was a bit tight, she was up to something or still is.
“What is today's definition of 'Been here all day'?”
“Why do you always think I've got something up my sleeves Aaron, can't you trust in me for once?”
“I'd rather I laid with a fox.”
I make to leave when I see something glint on one of her many dressing mirrors.
Almost as if it were Sarah's teardrop diamonds.
I charged towards it, while Avery lunged for it.
My hands got on it first,
“Where did you get this and what have you done?”
