"Your nose is bleeding."
I turned at the sound of her voice, finding Irina lounging on the sofa with a book resting open in her lap. She hadn’t even looked up when she spoke, her gaze fixed on the pages before her. I wiped the blood from beneath my nose with the back of my hand and sighed heavily.
It stung a little, but nowhere near the ache burning in my chest.
Aria must hurt even more.
"She’ll only run further if you keep chasing her," Irina added, still not sparing me a glance.
I stared at her, desperate and completely out of options. My heart was unraveling, and Aria was slipping further away by the second.
