I hesitated before speaking, weighing my unspoken words. Suggesting this to Klaus wasn’t easy. He was Alpha, leader of the Onyx Pack, and the strongest wolf I knew. But after days of watching him and Aria steal secret, longing glances at each other, I knew what had to be done.
“Let me lead this mission,” I said firmly, my voice cutting through the low hum of the room. “You need to stay here, for your pack… and because I can’t stand watching Aria worry herself sick every time you’re away.”
