Chapter 95. Choices

1087 Words

Orion's POV Again, I felt like I’d failed as a man. And this time, the ones suffering were my sisters—Aria, bearing the weight of an unspeakable loss, and Irina, drowning in the trauma she didn’t deserve. But I have to be strong. If I could barely handle the pain, how much worse must it be for them? Drake Simmons. That bastard. Even in death, I cursed him for the devastation he left behind. My sisters deserved light, not this abyss. I sat stiffly in the backseat of Drake’s car, which now felt cursed just by his memory. My shoulders pressed against both pain and helplessness—on my right, Aria lay unconscious, blood still soaking through her pants. On my left, I had Irina pulled close to me, her head resting against my shoulder. She hadn’t spoken a word since we left that cursed cabin.
