Grace’s POV It’s nearly midnight by the time I get home, drowsily pulling into the parking lot. It’s been a long day of work, and it felt even longer and harder than usual with the guilt of my fight with Kenna still weighing on me. We haven't talked since our argument last night, and I know this heaviness in my heart won’t go away until we talk it through. My legs are heavy as I drag myself to our apartment. Unlocking the door, I step into the darkness. Makenna usually leaves at least one light on in the apartment before she goes to bed, so it was a little jarring to see it completely dark inside.
