Hey guys thanks for voting on my previous chapters and saying nice things keep it coming! -girlwithmagicpen  ---------------------------------------------- Lea's POV  "So should we get sour patch kids or twizzlers?" Mavis asked "Why don't we get both! I mean we're not the ones paying for it. In fact get some milk duds, laffy taffy and kit kats." I said exhaustedly. Mavis and I went to the mall and had used Heather's card to buy so many clothes. We bought girls and boys clothes, had stopped by footlocker, lady footlocker, and champs and bought so many shoes in the sizes that Martha specified.  We were now in the supermarket my cart was filled to the brim with canned foods, while hers had eggs, fruits, milk, ice cream, cereal (all types) and now we were in the candy isle trying to figure out which candy to buy.  We got everything that was needed and checked out. The poor girl who was at the register nearly passed out when she took one look at us. Using Tom's money felt great and when I was asked if I wanted cash back I said "hell yeah" and got $100 to pay for Mavis's gas. By this time Mavis's car was full and I was driving a U-haul filled with food, clothes and shoes. Don't worry I was only carrying the canned foods. By the time we got to the orphanage it was around 6pm. We met Ms. Martha and let me tell you she was one of those cute little old ladies with white hair and was slightly chubby with glasses. She had a heart shaped face and smiled when she saw us walking in the door. "Hi Ms. Martha I'm Lea and this is Mavis I spoke to you on the phone earlier." "Hi dearies"  "Uhm all the things are outside" Mavis said.  "Yeah we're going to need some help" I said.  "No worries I'll call Mike to help out" Ms. Martha said pulling out her phone and asking Mike for help.  Mike walked in and that man was beautiful. He looked like he was 6'3 beautiful chocolate skin, nice cut hair and dimples. He was one word hot! "Dibs" Mavis whispered beside me.  "You always get the cute ones!" I whined  "You're always too busy staring to say dibs, so it's your fault" Mavis replied.  "Hi my name is Mavis and this is Lea and all the stuff is outside." Mavis said while batting her eyelashes. Mike just smiled and followed her as she left the building.  After opening the large U-Haul truck Mike had to call the boys in the orphanage to come and help us.  After a while everyone in the orphanage was helping out so we finish quickly. Mavis took the time to get Mike's number and let me tell you they were the cutest thing I've ever seen. He was blushing while getting her number and she couldn't stop smiling.  While that was going on, Ms. Martha wanted to talk to me.  "Hey Ms. Martha what's up?" "Dearie I just wanted to thank you so much for everything. You brought the children food, clothing, candy and shoes. You are a sweetheart and what you did I honesty can not thank you enough. Because of you I don't have to worry about whether or not the children will have enough food, shoes or clothes. I truly can't thank you enough for all of this."  She got up and gave me a hug. Do you know what she smelled like? Cookies. I hugged her back.  "It's the least I could do. You do so much for the kids that I felt that you shouldn't have to worry about this. I also wanted karma to be on my side." "Dearie if you ever need anything or just anyone to talk to I'm here. Feel free to come here anytime."  "Wow you don't even know me and yet you're so kind to me. Why?" "Well you remind me of my granddaughter, who passed away recently." "Oh I'm so sorry to hear about that. If you ever need anything call me." I wrote down my number and handed it to her. "Thanks dearie do you want to meet the children?"  "Uhm if it's ok with you" I said looking around the room.  "Nonsense come with me" I followed her as she walked down the hall and into a room with little toddlers running around, some girls talking and braiding their hair. Some boys and girls listening to music and some dancing. There were some children outside playing basketball. Then I noticed a little girl on the floor playing with blocks.  I approached her and just as I got closer she looked up and smiled at me. She was a beautiful little middle eastern girl with shockingly beautiful green eyes and curly hair.  I sat down next to her and started building blocks with her. We continued that way until she moved closer to me and sat on my lap. I started playing with her hair but then my phone rang.  "Hey we gotta go it's like 8 and you need to return the U- Haul truck." "Ok I'm coming"  I moved the little girl from my lap and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She reminded me of myself when I was a child at St. Marks orphanage. It's long been closed down and today was the first time I've set foot in an orphanage. As I walked away I turned and smiled sadly at the little girl who was looking at me. I waved goodbye to her and she waved back.  I said my goodbyes to Ms. Martha and left with Mavis.  ----------------------------------------------
