They all went quiet but I could see they were not willing to be quiet! I went straight to my seat and before I could say anything, they stood up and gave the usual greeting.
This was the moment I really wish the greeting was not a custom! I didn't want to acknowledge them nor pray for them either but nevertheless, custom must be obeyed.
