The entire corridor fell into silence. I stared at the scene unfolding right in front of my eyes, my mind struggling to process what had just happened. I had seen Thalia angry before, but never like this. It was never this level of anger and just plain venemosity.
Vivian stood frozen, clutching her cheek. The color drained out of her face, turning her pale and ghostly within seconds. Her lips parted, but not a single sound came out. She looked genuinely terrified, not just by the slap, but by the words that had just left Thalia’s mouth.
