Chapter 2

The woman who had come to office for the purpose of the interview was the last one that he had kept for questioning and despite of how much he wanted to hate that one Orlando still could not bring himself to think that she did not deserve the position. His reputation in the corporate world was pretty well known, he was a hard taskmaster and did not have a heart. But the women of the society knew that he was dark man, with even darker desires. And the ones who had been subject of his desires had been bought off with their lips sealed with confidentiality agreement. But it was a rare incident that he could not put out a woman of his mind, especially the one he had not yet touched. There was this strange innocence to her face and this beautiful heart like frame and clear green eyes which reminded him of the forests where he used to camp when his father was alive and took him. She had not put down her gaze or batted her eyelashes at him or not even blushed for one single time. He had already asked Marguerite, the assistant to his CFO, to make the necessary enquiries about her past records just after she had left the office telling him that she did not want to rise in her career being bent of the copier machine. Her very words brought out thoughts and desires in his mind which raged inside him like wild fire. Her dark mahogany hair wrapped in his fist while she was bent over his desk, her skirt raised over her shapely ass as he would slap her bottom making fine imprint of his palm on her ass. The very thought made his c**k hard, straining in his pants. This woman was not like the other ones that he had dealt with and it felt like she was a wild horse. And every one knew that Orlando Rothschild was the one who loved taming wild horses. Just then there was knock on his door and he looked up and found Marguerite waiting for his approval. He nodded once and she came inside. “So?” asked Orlando, as Marguerite sighed at him. “Is it really necessary to put out your anger on me Orlando? That girl is a different one from the others. I think it will be the best if you let her be,” said Margeurite as she forwarded the file towards him. “I would ask for your opinion when I would need it Maggie, but right now, I need you to tell me that if her record is spotless or there was some dirt that you have been able to dig up on her,” said Orlando dropping the file in the desk drawer and looking up at the older woman who scowled at him. “I don’t know why I indulge you in these nonsense. That girl is the sweetest thing that I have seen in the last five years I have been here Orlando. She is from Galveston, Texas. Only daughter of a rancher. She had this high school sweetheart who proposed her on their school formal dance and she had said yes. But unfortunately the same night she had found her sticking it inside the class slut in the bleachers. The whole town and the school knew the story. This girl did not bother to talk to that boy later on and then she accepted the scholarship from Hamilton and moved away from her home within a week. As far as I know the town has not seen her in the last ten years. She is something of an enigma in their native place,” said Marguerite as she took the seat in front of the desk and sighed. “And what kind of enigma would that be?” asked Orlando as he looked at her in question. “Well that is something that no one has done in that town before. I mean it is not like that the girls don’t get educated but most of them come back and get married and lead more like family lives. But she is the one who went away and has not come back. That is the reason she is an enigma,” replied Marguerite. “And her past records from the offices that she has worked with previously? I think she is still working somewhere, is she not?” asked Orlando, as he tried remembering the name of the company she was currently in. “Yes, she is with the Mattenheir Group at the moment and she wants to join this company, but one little birdie told me that she is going to go for another interview in this week for your rival,” said Marguerite with her brows raised and she looked at him in a meaningful expression. “What do you mean? That the woman who came to my office today and I am thinking of recruiting her she is going to go and meet that bastard Kiaran for job as his secretary?” asked Orlando as his eyes darkened in rage. This woman was supposed to be his and he was not going to let her go away under any circumstance, and not ever to the one man he hated most in his life. “I am not saying anything Orlando, she might not do that if you offer her this job first but after what happened today I am seriously doubtful that she is going to come back and work for you. You had scared her half to death!!” said Marguerite as she looked at Orlando disapprovingly. “Well this would have never happened if you had agreed to be my secretary and Jeff’s at the same time. You do understand that I am not as patient as others,” said Orlando as Marguerite scowled at him again. “Yes, of course…after all I am nothing but a super-human right? At the least Jeff has a life, a wife and family who take up some time of his office otherwise what is the difference between both of you except the fact that he has a thing for numbers and you for decisions. I am already tired juggling work like this for the both of you every single day and not to say that it has been already seven days and you still have not been able to select a secretary!!” said Marguerite as Orlando huffed and rolled up his sleeves. “It has been just a week Maggie, what is the big deal? You can take a day’s holiday once the new secretary joins,” said Orlando as he walked and stood before the glass enclosure. The place from where the entire city could be seen. His father had wanted to make this city his but he had not been able to and lost himself in the process but Orlando would never repeat that mistake. “As much as I would love to believe that I don’t think that it is going to happen sometime soon because you are not going to select anyone as your secretary and especially not the one you had f****d in the other room. And since you asked about the last girl, Zenith, she is absolutely an angel. There has been nothing from her past offices except praise and they were very sorry when she had resigned. So since you are going to get her record spoiled, don’t employ her,” said Marguerite as she stood up. “I want her outside my office at the desk in the next 48 hours Marguerite. And if I don’t find her then I shall make sure that she is not employable any more by anyone else,” said Orlando, as his c**k twitched at the thought of those bright defiant green eyes lowered down with submission before him. He would break this one if he had to but he was not going to let her go. “What the f**k is your problem Orlando? Huh? You cannot do anything normally, can you??” asked Marguerite in a loud voice. “You know I don’t make mistakes when it comes to taking decisions Maggie. Do it. She is the best and she can take the pressure, I have seen it in her eyes. The way she spoke to me, I believe that no one has spoken to me that way since I came to this city. You being the exception always. So you are going to show the ropes to this new girl and offer her a package which will make her secure financially and find her an apartment, free of rent in our constructions. That is an employee concession from my part,” said Orlando as he half-turned at Maggie who gaped at him and then closed her mouth, nodded her head and left the office. He remembered the way his father had cried and sobbed alone in the library with a glass of cognac before him when he had found that mother was having affairs with multiple men all over the town. She felt like the town slut and she behaved like it. It was something, one thing that Orlando had never forgiven his mother for. She was loving and caring to him and was a doting mother but she had never loved his father, ever. They had separated when he was seven years old. And he had never forgiven any woman at all, for hurting men in the way they did. There had been no meaningful relations in his life with any woman but it did not matter. The dreams that he had from his father were the most important and today Rothschild Group of Companies was a company which would make anyone turn once and talk on it for some time. But this woman, this woman was a strange one who was so very strong and protective and dignified while he had wanted to see her rage, even in her anger the way she spoke with him in her icy disdain she could feel her hatred towards him coming off in waves. It was practically something which should have put him off but he had never been more shocked and aroused in his entire adult life. Domination, that was the only thing which could make him hard. That was the only thing which could bring him some semblance of pleasure. And a girl from Texas, whose heart had been broken by a childhood sweetheart. Who else could be more perfect for the role of his assistant?? But there was only one thing. She seemed to be very strong with no feelings of lust whatsoever for him. This was something which he had never dealt or even faced. Women drove behind him in hordes and she hated him for using them like a f*****g mass of flesh. True, he did, but then again they were good at being used. And he liked it. Orlando Rothschild loved a challenge and he would bend Zenith Smith over his desk even if he had to do anything for it.
