Chan pov

I was on my way to the cafe when I saw them sitting by our usual spot at the window. Y/n was also there. She seemed so happy. All of them do. I decided to go inside and not just stand here looking at them. When I got into the cafe without them noticing me. I saw Han moving close to Y/n, she was laughing at whatever he said. My body moved without me even realizing it. When I got the the table I sat down between Han and Y/n. “Oh Hi Chan, we haven’t ordered anything yet. We wanted to wait for you.” Said Minho. “Oh thanks guy but next time just order something.” I reply looking around the table. Han doesn’t look happy with me, but I choose to shrug it off. We sat there talking about the most random things for about 2 hours.

Y/n pov

When it was time to go home, I was about to to leave with Chan when Han called out my name. “Hey Y/n , can I walk you home tonight?” He asked with a shy smile. Before I could answer Chan answer for me. “It’s okay Han I got it, she’s my neighbor.” Chan says a bit on edge. I wonder why he did that. “Maybe next time Han.” I say giving him one last smile before walking off. The whole way home we did even say a word to each other. It’s bothering me that he got so defensive when Han asked to walk me home. Was he jealous or did he just say that because we live next to each other. When we reached my door I turn around to say goodbye to Chan but he already walked away. “Well BYE, I guess.” I say loud enough for him to hear.

Chan pov

It was probably wrong of me to act the way I did. I didn’t mean to take my bad mood out on her. That’s the last thing I want to do.

-flash back to after school-

I was busy at my locker when Mr Kim called me. “Chan, I’m sorry to say this but you’re failing math. If you don’t get a better grade you will be kicked out of the basketball team.” Said Mr Kim. “Wait no, that can’t happen I’m the captain of the team.” I say a bit defensive. “I’m sorry Chan but if you don’t pass your next exams, you’ll be kicked off the team.” Said Mr Kim with an apologetic look. I didn’t even say anything and just left the room. I went to the basketball court and sat there for about 30 before leaving to go to the Cafe.

-present time-

I have you do better in my next exams. I take out my books to start working through today’s math class. After 30 min of trying, I screamed in frustration. Why can’t I do this? Other people do it so easily.

Y/n pov

I messaged Chan about 20 min after he left. But i got no answer. When I was about to leave to go see if Chan was okay, I got a call from Han. “Hii Han.” I answered the phone.

“Hey Y/n. I was wondering if you could meet me outside.” He asked sounding nervous. “Yes sure, I’m on my way.” I saw a bit confused. “See you now.” He says before ending the call. I rush down stairs, almost falling. When I opened the door Han turned around with a Bouquet of flowers and some chocolates. I instantly turned red and didn’t know what to say. “Y/n I know this is probably weird, because we don’t really know each other that well, but I really like you. Will you be my Valentine?” Han said giving me the cutest smile. “Yes of course, I would love to be your Valentine.” I reply giving him a hug. Little did I know that Chan saw everything, he was standing on his porch.
