Kris walked into the lobby the following Monday and found Clementine waiting for her. She beckoned Kris over a strange look on her face. Her relaxed mood from the weekend away, dissipated. Something was wrong and she had no idea what.
“Clementine?”
“You better get up to Alexi’s office. You two made the newspaper.” Clementine said and handed her the paper she’d been reading.
Kris took it and read: It seems Miss Alexi Roan has finally come out of the closet. The headlines read. She didn’t even read the rest. “How upset was she this morning?”
“She didn’t even greet me. She had her head buried in the paper and went straight up to her office.” Clementine said. “You should look at page two.” Clementine flipped over for her and shoved the paper back at her.
